Maumee Bay State Park

This suspended sculpture was commissioned by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources to represent the migration patterns of the bird that travel to and through the Maumee Bay State Park.

Maumee Bay State Park is one of Ohio’s busiest and most beloved natural destinations, sitting at the crossroads of key migratory bird routes. As the site of the renowned “Biggest Week in American Birding”, Maumee Bay is recognized for its incredible birding offerings.

The mosaic birds suspended from the lobby of the Maumee Bay Lodge celebrate the beauty and significance of birds during their migrations.

The birds that are represented are the Magnolia Warbler and the Palm Walber.
